It looks like I was “challenged” in Kirupa’s blog to write “Five things that you may not know about me”. Now I’m not sure who would care about my so fiercely kept secrets, but anyway:
1. My love for the web started through IRC, some 7 years ago. Yes, I’m still addicted to IRC. In fact I met a few of my real life friends through IRC. Then about 6 years ago I discovered Dreamweaver and started learning html, then javascript, then I turned to css.
Now I’m much worse:)
2. I love the smell of strawberries and fresh made coffee in the morning.
3. I used to play piano when I was in primary school. I gave it up after four years as I understood I wasn’t the best pianist out there. But it helped me a lot broadening my taste in music. I also attended 1 year of Law School. I gave it up for the same reason, I wouldn’t have been the best lawyer out there. But then again, it helped me broaden my taste in politics:)
4. My other passion beside coding is American literature, in which I have a BA degree. Funny thing how after 1 year of Law School and 4 years of intense study of literature I ended up loving coding.
5. I love New York for it is the most awakening experience for me (until now at least). It made me realize how many things I have yet to learn, do and see.
Oops, almost forgot I think I should “trick” other people into sharing 5 of their secrets. So Joshua Jenkins, Lostinbeta: you’re next:) And soulty, simp and Digitalosophy, get a blog guys and start writing:P

I used to play the piano when I was younger also. Though, most will say that my musical tastes have been constrained over the years!
:P
So..did you like it?I mean playing the piano..did you enjoy it as a child? And do you still play the piano now and then?
I think that while we might become a bit selective on music as we grow up, studying music lets you appreciate a nice performance, whether at a rock concert or at the opera.
Unfortunately, I haven’t played the piano in years. I really liked playing the piano when I was younger though! As a mini-Kirupa I started off with the glockenspiel, moved on to the xylophone when I was about 8, and then between the ages of 10-14, I played the piano. Of course, since then, I digressed to the keyboard
Wow Emma you are really well rounded - law school and piano cot dayum!
When I was younger I had one of those electrical key boards. I was never really good although I can read music - I used to play the sax.
Thanks Dave,
I guess I could say I’ve been searching for “my way” a lot…
Wow, playing the saxophone! I love the sound of sax, it’s one of the things that I associated with NY somehow, even before coming here. And the first time I heard it after I arrived I was so very happy, even though it was a song played in the subway.
I would like to report this blog as UNCOOL because there are no awesome updates anymore.
Start posting things because my eyes need exercise Mrs ditto.
Toodles
There will be very soon, I promise:) I’m at the point where I am changing jobs and things are pretty crazy, but I should be finding time for myself in 2-3 days.
